The whole reason, or at least 90% of the reason we purchased this home was for the backyard. It is this gorgeous area and really makes you feel like you are on a secluded oasis. Making one of Franks favorite things to do, which is building a fire so fun! We made some drinks and cozied up for a quick little weeknight refreshing, who am I to complain or go against any of that.
The sun sets some early making it completely dark out with only the light of the fire and the string lights above us. It was the perfect amount of light to watch Kett run around and explore the night activities in our backyard and still be able to enjoy sitting by the fire and not feel completely on edge being somewhere else that he could run off. It was such a relaxing week night evening.
We snuggled up in the coziest blankets and got some little snacks out and really enjoyed just being together. I can imagine when Kett gets older he will help Frank forage for sticks and wood that he can burn for a fire or roast marshmallows and eat s'mores. Sometimes its just a good time to get outside without technology around and just hang out and have a good time.
